Cave Diving Orda, 13-17 October 2021

Orda Cave (Ординская, Ordinskaya) is the largest underwater gypsum crystal cave in the world. The cave system stretches over 5 kilometres with most of it under water. It can be found underneath the western Ural Mountains in Russia and the entrance is near the shore of the Kungur River. The mineral-rich area surrounding the cave filters the water and makes it crystal clear. The visibility is around 50m and will change your perception of ”good viz” forever. You can find an electronic copy of an Orda publication on this link http://phototeam.pro/download/Orda_Book_PDF.pdf. It is in Russian but one picture says more than a thousand words.

We fly through Moscow to Perm where we will be met and taken to the cave that is located in the middle of nowhere. We stay in lodgings at the Orda cave camp where we also get three full meals of the Russian kitchen every day. A trip to the centre will supply us with the extras we might need.

The package includes everything we need on Cave 1-level; flights, based on the price from Stockholm, visa, local transport, accommodation, food, tanks, weights, gas and six C1-dives. Upgrade to C2-dives possible for those interested. The all-inclusive price is €1.810. The number of participants is limited to six and an early decision is important to arrange visa and purchase tickets.

Minimum certification level is Cave 1/Intro Cave. Departure is on 13 October and we will return on 17 October. We plan to do three days of diving; two dives per day.
