We travel to Narvik and board Galten for a six day live-aboard with world class diving while the sun is up around the clock.
During the Second World War, Narvik was a strategically important harbour with a heavy German presence. As a result, many ships sank and can now be found on a very diveable depth.
We check in on Sunday 3 July and start the trip with a visit to the War Museum to better understand the historical context that we will be diving in, followed by a BBQ and preparing the equipment for the check dive on the destroyers in Narvik Port on Monday. We do a combined trip and aim for wrecks on all depths. The exact list of wrecks will depend on the weather and tide, but several destroyers, submarines, cargo ships etc are on the list. The ambition is that all divers will be offered the opportunity to do at least ten dives during the stay.
The price tag is xx.xxxSEK and includes two dives per day on nitrox, a twin set and lead. More tanks, dives, gas etc can be purchased in situ. The transfer is also included in the price as is accommodation, full board and a guided tour at the Museum. With the current uncertainties around travel, the costs for the trip will be invoices closer to departure, but full reimbursement will be offered if the trip will be cancelled due to COVID-issues.
