During the Second World War, Narvik was a strategically important harbour with a heavy German presence. As a result, many ships were sank and can now be found on a very diveable depth.
Dykplattformen is going way up north to dive wrecks in the land of the midnight sun. On 4-11 July we will be doing the ”Harstad Tour”. We check in on 4 July, then six days of diving starting in the harbour but then moving north to Harstad for a few days of diving before returning to Narvik for the final leg. This is a special itinerary for Dykplattformen where we dive the wrecks in Narvik but also take a trip to Harstad to dive wrecks like Sirius and Dronning Maud. Check out in the morning on Saturday 11 July.
The trip is suitable for divers on all levels; recreational and technical. We will be diving wrecks in all depth ranges from 0 to 90 metres depending on the participants’ levels and the weather. All participants will be offered the possibility to make at least two dives every day as we plan a deep dive in the morning and two shallow dives in the afternoon. The week has therefore something to offer both for the recreational diver and the tech freak. All diving deeper than 30 metres on trimix, using GUE standard gases for diving.

At this time of the year, the midnight sun is up, contributing to a spectacular scenery around the dive sites. We start the week at Narvik War Museum to educate us a bit about the history that we will be diving, followed by a welcome BBQ. The first day we do our warm up dives on the destroyers in the harbor.

The price is 22.000SEK. This includes two dives per day on nitrox, a twin set and lead. The transfer from the railway station as well as accommodation, full board and the visit to the War Museum are also included in the price. More tanks, gas etc can be purchased in situ. Rental DPVs available…
